Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Area Manager to join our team, helping to provide a fun, safe and engaging environment for children to learn and play. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood development and experience working with children in a play or education setting.
As Area Manager, you will lead teams to help ensure clubs are offering high quality, fun play environments that follow EYFS & welfare requirements.
You will oversee five Breakfast & After School Clubs across Hitchin, supporting teams to facilitate play activities, support children's development, and ensure their well-being during their time with us. You will work closely with the teams to manage the smooth day to day running of our Breakfast & After School Clubs.

Responsibilities
· Ensure individual children’s needs are met, including supporting the team, children and families with SEND / behaviour management / any additional needs.
· Manage the settings in a way that promotes positive outcomes for children and families, offering children regular praise and encouragement for their individual development and achievements.
· Support the teams to ensure the club is compliant with regulatory guidelines and legislation (eg Ofsted).
· Oversee the completion of daily session tasks to ensure all safeguarding, health & safety and admin procedures are being followed and reviewed.
· Coordinate staff rota’s, sickness and holidays to ensure staff:child ratios are maintained at all times and be available to support teams throughout all sessions.
· Plan and deliver fun, exciting activities with teams that engage the children, based on developmental levels and current interests.
· Build strong working relationships with teams and management to ensure good communication, support and consistency.
· Provide support to Playworkers, oversee induction & training for the team, ensuring they are supported and confident in their roles.
· Review club progression within the team and keep Management updated.
Pay: £14.75-£15.00 per hour
