About the Role
Fetcham Village Pre-school is looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and flexible Pre-school Practitioner to join our friendly team. This would be on a Thursday and Friday, hours 8.30-3.30pm during term time only. Closing date is Monday 22nd June and Interviews on Monday 29th June 2026.
This is a role that is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and being a significant part in their development. You will play an important part in delivering high-quality early years education and care in a safe, nurturing environment. Pay is £15.52-£16.51 inclusive of holiday pay.
Key Responsibilities
Support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum, helping to plan engaging and stimulating activities
Assist with the set-up and clearing of daily sessions
Act as a key person for a small group of children, supporting their development and wellbeing
Observe, assess, and contribute to learning journeys, progress checks, and reports
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Ensure all policies, procedures, and safeguarding requirements are followed
Maintain a safe, clean, and inclusive environment
Work collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
Experience working with young children
A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A flexible and reliable approach to work
Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and inclusion
Understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
A Level 2 or 3 qualification would be ideal but not essential.
