About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Hotel Maintenance Person to join our team. This varied role is essential in ensuring our hotel is maintained to a high standard, providing a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and colleagues.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out general maintenance tasks throughout the hotel, supporting the housekeeping team with linen movement, and assisting with grounds maintenance when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across all areas of the hotel.
- Perform basic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
- Undertake decorating tasks including painting and minor refurbishment works.
- Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance checks.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from hotel departments.
- Assist the housekeeping team with the movement and storage of linen and supplies.
- Support the upkeep of external grounds, including litter picking, basic gardening, and general outdoor maintenance.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety procedures.
- Help maintain a clean, organised, and efficient maintenance workspace.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, or hotel maintenance role.
- Possess practical plumbing and decorating skills.
- Be confident using a range of hand and power tools.
- Have a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Have excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
