Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide exceptional support and assistance to clients in their own homes in Hertford, Ware, Stevenage, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Bishops Strotford, Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamstead etc . This role is vital in helping individuals maintain independence, comfort, and dignity. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, patient care, or senior care, with a strong commitment to delivering personalised and respectful service. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Provide medication administration as prescribed, ensuring safety and accuracy
- Support with meal preparation tailored to dietary requirements and preferences
- Engage in behaviour management techniques to promote positive interactions
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Drive clients to appointments, social activities, or errands as needed
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns promptly
- Support clients with specialised needs such as Alzheimer's, dementia, or hospice care
- Perform first aid when necessary and respond appropriately to emergencies
Qualifications
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or home care is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient care, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and hospice care is advantageous
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred but not essential; training can be provided
- Valid driving licence and clean driving record are required for driving duties
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills with a caring and empathetic approach
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting client privacy
