Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full Time Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a commitment to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment. As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring that each child receives the care and attention they need to thrive.
Duties
- Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote children's development in line with early childhood education principles.
- Supervise and interact with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Support children in their daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and personal hygiene.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive nursery environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery space, ensuring it is safe and welcoming for all children.
- Collaborate with other staff members to manage classroom behaviour and promote positive interactions among children.
Skills
- Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children and their families.
- A or related fields is advantageous.
- Leadership qualities to assist in guiding younger staff or volunteers within the nursery environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a calm demeanour under pressure.
- A valid driving licence may be beneficial for transporting materials or attending off-site activities as needed.

Essential Criteria;
- Nursery experience (6 months)
- Level 2 or 3 Childcare
- A background in Early years
