Summer Playscheme Worker – Belfast
The rewards
£13.45 per hour.
Hours
25 hours per week. Temporary summer position from 29th June to 21st August (depending on location).
The role of the Summer Playscheme Worker

Organising, supervising and leading structured play activities both on-site and off-site

Preparing and setting up materials and resources for daily activities

Supporting volunteers and staff to help broaden and develop the playscheme programme

Applying best practice in line with the Playwork Code of Practice

Adhering to Child Protection policies and procedures at all times

Implementing all required health and safety procedures

Participating in monitoring, evaluation and feedback processes

Assisting with administrative and financial tasks related to the playscheme when required
The ideal Summer Playscheme Worker
-
At least one year's relevant experience in direct supervision of children or young people, planning and delivering activities, and working in a community or youth setting
Additional context
Based at Community Centres across Belfast including Olympia, Ardoyne, Cregagh Youth, Tallycarnet, Clonduff, Braniel and Knockagoney.
