Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team of care staff, our days start at 7am and finish at 10pm, you will be offered a variety of shifts, over 5 days working every other weekend. You must be able to drive. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance, ensuring their comfort and well-being in their own home. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality care, promoting independence, and maintaining the dignity of those we serve.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist clients with mobility as required.
- Assist with Medication Management.
- Support individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in care work or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of first aid practices is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
- A valid driving licence is essential.
- A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others is essential.
