Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced chef de rang to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and contribute to a welcoming dining environment. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your culinary knowledge and guest service skills in a fast-paced restaurant setting. Previous restaurant experience and a passion for hospitality are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, service stations, and dining areas
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, adhering to food safety regulations
- Handle guest enquiries promptly and courteously, resolving any issues to ensure a positive experience
- Manage multiple tables effectively through excellent time management skills
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a waiter/waitress in a busy restaurant environment is preferred but not essential
- Strong knowledge of hospitality principles and guest service excellence
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and basic food preparation techniques
- Ability to perform basic maths accurately for billing and order processing
- Kitchen experience or culinary background is desirable but not essential
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Prior experience with upselling techniques is advantageous

Pay: £23,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
