The Role
As a Domestic & Commercial Cleaner, you'll provide professional cleaning services across a variety of residential and commercial properties. Every property should be left spotless, hygienic and ready for occupation or inspection.
You'll regularly work in new environments and enter clients' homes and businesses, so confidence, professionalism and respect for clients' property are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality domestic and commercial cleaning services.
- Dust, vacuum, mop and sanitise all surfaces to professional standards.
- Deep clean kitchens, bathrooms and high-use areas.
- Follow client instructions and company cleaning checklists.
- Ensure every property is left to Protocol Clean's high standards.
- Safely use and maintain cleaning equipment and products.
- Identify and report maintenance issues or property damage.
- Manage your own workload efficiently and arrive punctually for scheduled appointments.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service.
Essential Requirements
- Previous domestic cleaning experience is required.
- GCSE (or equivalent) Grade 4/C or above in Mathematics and English.
- Ability to work independently, use initiative and solve problems without constant supervision.
- Own basic cleaning equipment (cloths, mop, bucket and essential hand tools).
- Comfortable working in new environments and entering clients' homes and commercial premises.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to consistently high standards.
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual cleaning duties.
- Able to provide an employer reference.
Desirable
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- Previous commercial or end-of-tenancy cleaning experience.
- A current DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
