A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Business Services for a motivated and people-focused Senior Co-ordinator to join our team on a part-time basis (18.5 hours). In this key role, you will play an active part in leading colleagues, supporting high-quality service delivery, and contributing to the effective management of Subject Access Requests.
Working Pattern:
This role requires the successful candidate to work each weekday. A hybrid working model is available.
Weekly Hours:
- Monday -Thursday: 3 hours 45 minutes per day (15 hours total)
- Friday: 3 hours 30 minutes
Total: 18.5 hours per week.
WHAT IS INVOLVED?
As a Senior Co-ordinator, you will take on a pivotal position within the Business Services team, providing confident first-line people management to help deliver exceptional business support and administrative services across Durham County Council.
You will bring strong working knowledge of our processes, systems, and service activities, and youll collaborate closely across team boundaries to ensure smooth, consistent, and high-quality service delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting colleagues — guiding team members through performance, development, and wellbeing activities.
- Ensuring excellent customer engagement — working positively with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a responsive and effective Business Services function.
- Contributing to Subject Access Request processes — taking a supportive role in managing SARs with accuracy and professionalism.
- Championing high standards — helping to maintain a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

WHAT WILL I NEED?
You should have an NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject and have experience in leading and supervising an administrative team.
