Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft 365 Systems Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining Microsoft 365 environments, ensuring optimal system performance, security, and user support. This role requires a strong understanding of system administration, computer networking, and cloud services, along with excellent communication skills. The ideal applicant will have experience with various IT infrastructure components and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a dynamic organisational setting.
Duties
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Azure AD to ensure seamless user authentication and resource access.
- Monitor and optimise system performance across Windows Server environments
- Maintain system documentation and perform regular updates on Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Office applications.
- Provide technical support to end-users via email or chat, ensuring high levels of customer service.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations such as SharePoint or Azure services.
- Conduct analysis of system logs and network traffic to identify potential issues or security breaches.
Experience
- Proven experience in system administration of Microsoft 365
- Hands-on experience managing Active Directory, Azure AD, SharePoint Online, and Office 365 applications.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for infrastructure management.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash for automation tasks.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills in English—both written and verbal—are essential for collaborating with team members and supporting end-users.
- Previous experience in IT support or administrative roles with a focus on system analysis and troubleshooting is highly desirable.
