Working for a fast growing bespoke handmade furniture manufacturer, leading the way nationally in bathroom vanity units, but also doing kitchen islands, bedroom, dining and lounge furniture.
We are looking for an additional experienced driver to add to our growing team, one who is used to a fast paced hard working business, delivering approx 12-14 drops of bathroom vanity units per day, may involve stop overs in the London area to complete long runs the morning after, as most of our clients are London / South Coast based.
Early morning starts and early evening finishes, so 12+ hour days, but usually only 3 days a week, rarely but if any more than 40 hours worked the extra hours are paid as overtime at time and a half.
This is a physical job and requires some heavy lifting, and as you will be taking our bespoke furniture into the homes of celebrities, interior designers and high end developers, a smart appearance, good manner at all times, great attitude to customer service and delivering of excellence is required.
Main duties include:
* Driving safely and responsibly at all times
* Delivering and collecting goods as required
* Loading and unloading the vehicle where needed
* Keeping accurate delivery records
* Carrying out daily vehicle checks
* Reporting any issues, delays, or vehicle defects
* Maintaining a clean and tidy vehicle
The ideal candidate will have:
* A valid UK driving licence
* A good driving record
*Good timekeeping and reliability
* A polite and professional manner
* Good communication skills
* Ability to work independently
* Previous driving or delivery experience preferred, but not essential
Hours: Full-time 40 hours a week over 3 days
Pay: Competitive, depending on experience
