About Child Brain Injury Trust
The Child Brain Injury Trust was originally set up by a group of medical professionals. The organisation has evolved over the years and is now the leading UK charity supporting families and professionals affected by childhood acquired brain injury. Working in consultation and collaboration with families and professionals, the charity aims to ensure families can access the support they need when they need it and to ensure they have the best possible chance of reaching their potential.
Job Purpose
To play an active role in shaping and delivering our national fundraising plan, aligned to our strategy Elevating Families, Enriching Futures.
This role is about more than income generation. It is about building meaningful, trusted relationships that enable us to reach more children and families when they need us most.
Working alongside the Fundraising team, you will contribute to delivering our annual income target for 2026/27 - £460,000.
This will be achieved through thoughtful relationship building with corporate partners, securing sponsorship, and supporting the growth and development of our fundraising groups in Manchester, Birmingham and London, with future expansion into Leeds and Newcastle.
You will also co deliver our flagship events and work closely with the Corporate Partnerships Manager to create new opportunities that are both commercially strong and values led.
Who Are You?
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK; evidence will be required prior to commencement.
We are looking for someone who has:
· Proven experience of generating income within a company or charity in a paid role
· Previous experience of event management
· The skills to build strong, positive relationships and communicate with warmth and clarity at all levels
· The ability to manage multiple relationships, recognising where people are in their supporter journey
· Confidence in storytelling, able to engage and present to groups in a meaningful way
· Experience of managing activity from start to finish, including events and the stewardship of key relationships and supporters
· A high level of attention to detail and strong organisational skills
· An ability to prioritise a range of tasks, responding flexibly to changing demands
· A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to a small, supportive team
· The flexibility to work independently, while also contributing positively to a remote team
· A professional, compassionate and respectful manner in line with the charity’s values
· Strong administration and IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems
· Knowledge of fundraising law, procedures and good practice
· A genuine interest in the mission of the Child Brain Injury Trust and the impact of its work
· A full clean driving license and access to a car insured for work purposes
· Willingness to work flexible hours – some evening and weekends when required
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in fundraising, or someone with relevant transferable skills looking to step into the field.
