The Hotel Folk are looking for an experienced Reception Manager to work at The Swan at Lavenham Hotel & Spa. You will be fully responsible for the supervision of reception and events ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests and potential guests in line with the requirements of AA four red star quality standards.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3-years recent experience in similar role covering reception and events and including use of complaint handling protocols. You will also need a minimum 2-years recent previous experience working in hotel environment in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Previous experience working in a 2AA rosette establishment would be an advantage as would previous experience in an establishment with a spa. You will need excellent organisational and leadership skills and be dedicated to providing our guests with our signature “blow-your-socks off” hospitality experience. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week which will include evening and weekend work on a rota basis. You will also be required to undertake Duty Management responsibilities on a rota basis.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Proven experience of working in reception and events in a management role within the hotel industry
- Ideally experience of working within 4 red star AA accredited hotel
- Knowledge and experience in working with hotel software applications
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to make timely decisions with conviction and confidence
- Excellent organisational and problem solving skills.
