Job Overview:
We are seeking a Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer to join our team. This role will involve travelling by Company van to undertake commissioning and fault finding jobs; the typical working area is Kent, London and the South East but there may be occasional need to travel further in England.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of life safety systems, covering the following duties:
- Commissioning in accordance with BS5839 and other relevant Standards
- Fault finding
- Senior level fire alarm engineering tasks e.g. panel replacement
We will expect you to have:
- At least 5 years experience within the fire alarm industry including at least two in a commissioning and fault finding role
- Proficiency in programming cause and effect
- A strong knowledge of the relevant British Standards, ideally having completed FIA or equivalent training courses
- Proficiency in using programming software, hand tools, meters and power tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients

Pay: Up to £44,000.00 per year
