Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented EC&I Engineer (willing to travel nationwide) to join our innovative engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical, control, and instrumentation systems across various projects. Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical schematics, control system layouts, and instrumentation diagrams using AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.
- Conduct system design analyses incorporating signal processing, firmware development, and microcontroller programming (ARM, Programmable Logic Controllers).
- Perform root cause analysis on system failures or inefficiencies to identify underlying issues and implement corrective actions.
- Develop simulation models using Simulink and MATLAB to validate system performance prior to implementation.
- Create detailed documentation including schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical reports for manufacturing and maintenance purposes.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate electrical systems with mechanical components ensuring seamless operation.
- Support debugging, soldering, surface mount technology (SMT), and firmware updates for electronic modules.
- Utilise CAD software such as C++, Perl, Python, and System design tools to enhance project development processes.
- Assist in the realisation of projects involving surface mount technology (SMT), signal processing, and electrical experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical systems while adhering to safety standards and industry regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience in electrical engineering with a focus on control systems design and integration.
- Strong background in System on Chip (SoC), root cause analysis, schematic capture, and layout design.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks for technical drawings; MATLAB/Simulink for modelling; C++, Python, Perl for programming tasks.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ARM microcontrollers, debugging techniques, soldering (including SMT), and surface mount technology (SMT).
- Knowledge of signal processing techniques and firmware development within embedded systems.
- Familiarity with mechanical knowledge related to system design is advantageous.
- Experience working with CAD tools such as CAD software for detailed project visualisation.
