About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Spa Supervisor to support the day-to-day operation of our spa while delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role combines hands-on treatment delivery with team leadership, coaching, retail performance, and operational excellence.
As weekends are a key trading period for the business, this role requires twice monthlyweekend working, including Saturdays and Sundays on a rota basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, motivate, and support the therapist team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Conduct daily presentation and uniform checks to maintain the highest professional standards.
- Support recruitment, inductions, trade tests, and ongoing performance management.
- Coach and develop therapists and apprentices through regular training and feedback.
- Work closely with the In-House Trainer and Spa Management team to achieve departmental KPIs and business objectives.
Guest Experience & Spa Operations
- Ensure all treatments are delivered to company standards and within allocated treatment times.
- Attend the booking station at 8am or ensure suitable cover is arranged.
- Oversee spa tours and ensure company procedures and standards are consistently followed.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns professionally.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout the spa.
Commercial Performance
- Drive treatment and retail sales through excellent consultation and product recommendations.
- Work closely with reception and supplier account managers to maximise revenue opportunities.
- Monitor daily treatment and retail performance and communicate results effectively to the team.
- Support the achievement of monthly targets linked to the achievable bonus scheme.
Stock & Administration
- Manage treatment and retail stock levels efficiently.
- Follow company purchasing and stock control procedures.
- Assist the Spa Manager with administration, reporting, and departmental planning.
- Support the effective scheduling of therapist rotas to meet business demands.
Health & Safety
- Ensure all health, safety, fire, and emergency procedures are followed.
- Maintain safe working practices throughout the department.
- Ensure therapists are appropriately trained and qualified before delivering treatments.
- Support departmental compliance with all health and safety requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Beauty Therapist with previous spa experience.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- Strong retail and commercial awareness.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
- Organised, professional, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and peak trading periods.
