Registered Care Home Manager Job – Preston
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Care Home Manager to lead a well-established residential care home in Preston. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and motivated Registered Manager or experienced Deputy Care Home Manager looking to progress within a supportive and growing healthcare organisation.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership experience within elderly care, residential care, nursing care, or dementia care settings and a proven ability to maintain high standards of care, compliance, and team performance.
About the Care Home Manager Role
As the Care Home Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operational management of the service, ensuring full compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding standards, and company policies.
You will lead and inspire your team to deliver outstanding, person-centred care while driving occupancy, quality improvements, and staff development.

Key Responsibilities
- Full operational management of the residential care home
- Ensuring compliance with all CQC standards and regulations
- Leading, mentoring, and developing the care team
- Managing staffing levels, recruitment, rotas, and performance
- Promoting safe, high-quality, person-centred care
- Managing audits, safeguarding, risk assessments, and governance
- Maintaining occupancy and supporting business growth
- Building strong relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals, and local authorities
- Managing budgets and controlling expenditure effectively
- Driving continuous improvement and preparing for CQC inspections
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Care Home Manager, Registered Manager, or senior management role within a care home
- Strong knowledge of CQC compliance, safeguarding, and healthcare legislation
- NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care (preferred)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Experience managing teams within elderly care or residential care settings
- Passionate about delivering outstanding care and support
- Ability to lead teams through change and service improvement
