Job Title: Mobile Forklift Engineer
Salary: £30,000 – £37,000 (Basic)
Location: Bristol & Surrounding Areas
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:45pm (30-minute break, 41.25 hours per week)
We’re currently recruiting for a Mobile Forklift Engineer to join a well-established and employee-focused material handling company. Due to continued growth and increased workload, they are expanding their team in the Bristol area.
The Role
- Servicing, maintenance and repair of a wide range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
- Carrying out LOLER inspections to ensure equipment remains fully compliant
- Completing safety checks and general inspections
- Responding to breakdowns and carrying out reactive maintenance
- Managing your own workload and daily schedule across your patch
- Accurately completing service reports and compliance documentation
- Working on a variety of brands
- Patch: Bristol and surrounding areas
What We’re Looking For
- Backgrounds considered: Forklift, Agricultural, Plant or strong LCV experience
- Time-served engineers welcome (formal qualifications not essential)
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently
- Knowledge of LOLER inspections (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
- Location requirement: you must live within 15 miles of the Avonmouth
Package
- Basic Salary: £30,000 – £37,000
- Overtime: Paid at 1.5x
- Company Van + Fuel Card provided (business use only)
- Company pension scheme
- Holiday: 20 days + bank holidays +1 additional day every 4 years (up to 25 days)
