Primary Teaching Assistant
About the Role
U-Educate are currently seeking, dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant's. We work with many primary schools based in Swadlincote and offer various roles such as day to day and short/long term roles. For this type of role you’ll work closely with class teachers to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2, helping to create a positive and engaging learning experience for all.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils in small groups and 1:1 settings to reinforce learning
- Assist with classroom activities, preparation, and organisation
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Help deliver targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy, and phonics
- Support children with additional needs, including SEN
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children in a primary school setting
- A caring, enthusiastic, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant Certificate) desirable
