About Us
The Women & Families Resource Centre (WFRC) is a registered charity based in Wolverhampton which supports, empowers and advocates for women and children. We aim to actively encourage women to be self-reliant, through empowering them to identify their own needs, make their own choices and create their own solutions.
We offer short term home visits, counselling sessions, baby bank, practical & emotional One to One support, Domestic violence groups, Awareness raising workshops and drop in or chat groups to help women facing crises or challenging situations.
Purpose
To manage and grow our social media presence through creative content, audience engagement, and analysing audience engagement to help amplify WFRC’s mission.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the development and delivery of WFRC’s social media strategy and content plan
- Create and post engaging content across social media and website platforms
- Manage and grow channels including X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube
- Increase audience engagement through comments, shares, and community interaction
- Promote WFRC events, projects, achievements, and impact to diverse local audiences
- Attend events and projects to gather content, photos, videos, and stories
- Write articles and online content for blogs and digital platforms
- Organise and maintain digital media files, including photos and videos
- Stay up to date with organisational news and identify opportunities for promotion
Qualifications
- Experience managing social media accounts for a charity, organisation, business, personal project, or student initiative preferred
- Familiarity with platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, and YouTube
- Experience with content creation tools preferred.
- Strong written communication and content creation skills
- Creative, organised, and able to develop engaging campaigns and ideas
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and community members
- Interest in community work, charities, or social impact initiatives desirable
- Passionate about community engagement and supporting WFRC’s mission
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Volunteer
