Join a collaborative UK team dedicated to entertaining the world with best-in-class documentaries. We are seeking an experienced Post Production Coordinator to support our internal teams and external partners in managing post production and delivering outstanding content to Netflix.
We are hiring for two Post Production Coordinator openings. One position is permanent (full-time) and the other is a 15-month fixed-term contract (parental leave cover).
The person in this role will be self-motivated, proactive, adaptable, and comfortable shifting priorities when needed. They will be thorough and able to manage multiple and diverse responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on organization and attention to detail. This position requires someone who brings a positive, solutions-focused approach, effective communication skills, sound judgment, and initiative.
Lead on documentary projects as the slate volume requires.
Build and maintain an understanding of the editor landscape, including availability, and be comfortable reaching out to talent as required.
Provide end-to-end tracking, guidance, and support for UK Documentaries.
Collaborate closely with the Post Production Manager to help ensure the smooth running of the Netflix Documentary slate.
Set up, schedule, and lead initial post production meetings with production partners and vendors, introducing them to Netflix post requirements.
Liaise with post production vendors to discuss and advise on current workflows and standards.
Lead the onboarding process (including any required training) for production companies and post supervisors to the Netflix ecosystem, tools, and resources.
Oversee Netflix tools to help ensure production companies are inputting the latest information on cuts, lock dates, finishing, and deliverables.
Monitor cuts during the editorial process, ensuring timely communication with content teams and alignment with agreed deadlines.
Input all minimum required data, and any other known data, into relevant Netflix tools in a timely manner.
Coordinate the credit approvals process with production, content, and legal teams.
Manage ad hoc requests from internal and external partners throughout the Post, Finishing, and Delivery process.
Organize screenings as required.
Confirm internal creative lock before any final post work begins, and manage change logs as appropriate.
Oversee and manage the deliverables process, helping ensure all assets and paperwork are delivered on time for internal teams.
Skills and Experience
Must-have:
5 or more years of post management experience working in nonfiction content (or equivalent experience).
Ability to manage several projects at different stages of production (from development through delivery).
Understanding of post production budgets and quotes.
Familiarity with current trends and workflows for both UHD and HDR.
Ability to manage time-sensitive or urgent matters, including outside of standard working hours when necessary, with consideration for rest and work-life balance.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to prioritize tasks and respond appropriately to changing needs.
Commitment to ongoing learning to stay current with post production processes.
Effective communication skills (written and other forms), and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Proficiency in Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Gmail (or similar tools).
