We are currently looking to recruit (immediate start)
1 x Yard Operative/Picker
Salary to be discussed at interview
As part of a small, dedicated group, you’ll be sorting by hand, household and builders waste from skips that are brought back to the yard. The role involves plenty of bending and lifting, keeping the yard tidy and you'll be working outdoors in all weather conditions.
No formal qualifications are required, but a general awareness of health and safety is important, especially when working around moving Lorries and machinery.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently handle waste materials, including sorting, segregating, and disposing of them in a designated areas.
- Provide good customer service to our customers
- Cooperating with management and co-workers
- Following all site health and safety rules
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- Willing to work outdoors
- · A good level of physical fitness
- · Have the ability to work to own initiative
- · Good communicative English
- · Able to work as a part of a team
- · Punctual, flexible and reliable
- · Previously worked within the same sector or similar role (preferable)
- · Friendly and courteous to customers
- · Day shift Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00, plus every other Saturday 08:00-13:00
