Job Title: Sawmill Operative
Job Summary:
We are seeking a hardworking, punctual individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in various tasks within the resaw department. The role requires proficiency in the use of various wood machining equipment. Duties:
- The safe operation of a variety of industrial wood working equipment.
- Some heavy lifting tasks on occassions.
- Assist in maintaining and cleaning of your work areas
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
Requirements:
- Prior experience with woodworking machinery and mechanical knowledge preferred (full training provided to the succesful candidate/s)
- Ability to perform physical tasks
- Follow both verbal and written works orders and instruction.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Willingness to learn is a plus, with the prospect of additional training.
