Position: Sous Chef
Location: Crowborough
Pay Rate: £20.17 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
Shifts: Between 06:30 – 18:30, working any 5 shifts out of 7
Contract: Temporary role starting within the next 3 weeks
About the Role
Chefs Bay is recruiting on behalf of a private hospital seeking an experienced Sous Chef to support their catering team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled chef looking to gain valuable experience in a healthcare environment, with the possibility of securing a permanent position.
You will support the Head Chef in preparing high-quality meals, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the hospital kitchen.

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef, ideally within healthcare or large-scale catering
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to new environments
- Reliable, professional, and flexible approach to work
- Flexibility to work varying shift patterns
- Enhanced DBS check required – candidates must already hold a valid DBS or be willing to obtain one at their own cost (support with the application will be provided) – Can accept a basic providing willing to obtain an Enhanced
