Overview
We are seeking a motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs
- Support the organisation and cleanliness of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards
- Help with the presentation and garnishing of dishes to meet quality standards
- Manage basic kitchen tasks such as ingredient organisation and stock replenishment
- Contribute to team efforts during busy service periods, ensuring smooth operation
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently, including proper handling of equipment and ingredients
- Participate in training sessions aimed at developing culinary skills and knowledge of food safety procedures
Skills
- Basic understanding of food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
- Experience or familiarity with food safety standards and procedures
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team setting
