Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Craftsperson for a contractual assignment based in Birmingham B15
Available Shifts and Location:
- Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday ( 5 days a week) Full-time position
- Postcode: B15 2WB
- Shift Times:
- Working Hours – 4 on 4 off rotation 7am-7pm/7pm-7am through the year.
- Roles are either 8am-4pm or 11am-7pm
- Pay Rate: £18.65 to £21.98 per hour (including holiday pay) PAYE
- Pay Frequency: Weekly, every Friday before 5 PM
- Paid via PAYE only
- DBS Required
To carry out maintenance across the entire QEH contract estate. Responsible for the delivery of mechanical engineering maintenance service in line with contractual obligations, industry best practice and relevant standards and guidance (HTM). The role is to ensure planned preventive maintenance, testing, breakdown/reactive maintenance activities on the estate are completed and records maintained

Qualifications Required:
City & Guilds (or equivalent) Mechanical qualifications.
Understanding of AHU, FCU, Boilers, Calorifiers and plantroom equipment.
Indentured apprenticeship or equivalent training.
Healthcare and or Healthcare PFI experience

Skills and Experience Required:
- To record information as required for the operation of Maximo or similar system
- Diagnose and repair faults in engineering installation, plant and equipment. To deal with new situations as they arise and pass on knowledge to others. To inform Mechanical Team Leader of any delays or difficulties encountered.
- Ensure all PPM work is carried out effectively in compliance with maintenance instructions
- To understand fully the inter-relationship between various maintenance crafts.
- Requirement to learn new techniques with training as necessary
