Are you looking for a hands-on job with real variety? Do you enjoy property maintenance, painting and decorating, grounds upkeep and helping to make community events a success?
Working as part of the Amenity Team, no two days are the same. One day you could be painting and decorating at one of our community centers; the next rotavating and preparing allotments or carrying out minor repairs at one of the Council’s venues. You’ll also play a pivotal role during our events – helping with the set-up of barriers, cone placement and making sure everything runs smoothly on the day.
You’ll work across a range of Council sites including the K2 Centre, Southfields Jubilee Centre (SJC), the Manor House (MH), the allotments, Rosemead Park and Stage by the Sea, using a variety of tools, machinery and equipment. You will also look after a range of council assets such as planters around the town.
Training will be provided but above all we are looking for someone with initiative, enthusiasm and a practical, can-do attitude. This is a physical, active role where you’ll be meeting lots of different people and working as part of a great team. The post requires flexibility to work some evenings, weekends and occasional bank holidays to support events and provide emergency cover.
If you are interested in this varied and rewarding role, we would welcome an application from you. Please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification which is available at www.littlehampton-tc.gov.uk where the application form can also be downloaded.
Only completed application forms will be considered for this position, and successful shortlisted applicants will be contacted for interview.
