Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and vigilant Door Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to handle challenging situations with composure. Responsibilities
- Monitor access points to control entry and exit of patrons, staff, and authorised personnel
- Conduct thorough ID checks to verify age and identity in accordance with licensing laws
- Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorised or disruptive behaviour
- Respond promptly and effectively to any incidents or emergencies, including conflicts or medical issues
- Enforce venue policies and uphold a respectful atmosphere at all times
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks or hazards
- Assist with crowd management during busy periods or special events
- Record detailed incident reports when necessary and liaise with relevant authorities if required
Requirements
- Valid Door Supervisor licence issued by the Security Industry Authority (SIA)
- Proven experience in security or customer service roles is advantageous
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional demeanour
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations diplomatically
- Good physical fitness to stand for extended periods and manage potentially confrontational scenarios
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or during special events as required
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and reporting
