Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Practitioner to join our childcare team in our Baby Room. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of young children within a nurturing and stimulating environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a genuine interest in early childhood education and childcare, looking to make a positive impact on children's lives.
Room Leader experience would be preferable.
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
- Support children's social, emotional, and physical growth through attentive care and guidance
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high standards of childcare and education are upheld
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and wellbeing
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods
- Assist with organising educational resources and maintaining a clean, organised classroom environment
- Support management in implementing policies related to early childhood education standards
Requirements
- Experience working with children in nursery or early childhood settings
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare practices
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide children effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work as part of a team while demonstrating initiative and independence
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or materials when required
- Childcare qualifications or relevant certifications are preferred but not essential for entry-level roles
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude towards working with young children
