We’re looking for a strong, compassionate Team Leader to join one of our mental health residential homes. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who genuinely cares about people – both the individuals we support and the staff team around them.
If you’re someone who leads by example, values dignity and respect, and can balance warmth with clear boundaries, we’d love to hear from you.
About the Role
As Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the home, supporting staff to deliver safe, person-centred care while ensuring high standards are consistently met.
You’ll work closely with the Registered Manager to:
- Lead and support a team of support workers
- Promote a positive, motivated, and professional team culture
- Ensure care plans, risk assessments, and daily records are accurate and up to date
- Act as a role model for good practice and values-based care
- Support individuals with their recovery, independence, and wellbeing
- Respond appropriately to incidents, safeguarding concerns, and challenges
This is an active role – you’ll be on the floor, not just in the office.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working in a mental health residential or supported living setting
- Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker / Team Leader (or ready to step up)
- Good understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and person-centred care
- Confidence in leading shifts and supporting staff performance
- Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
Hours of Work
- Shift work consisting of 12 hour shifts, 3 days week 1, 4 days including weekends week 2.
- 8am until 8pm.
- One week of on call every 3rd week
What We Offer
- A supportive, approachable management team
- Ongoing training and development opportunities
- A chance to genuinely influence the culture of the home
- Progression opportunities within the organisation
- A role where your voice is heard and your work matters
Why Work With Us?
