We are seeking an enthusiastic and engaging Singing / Glee Club Instructor / Supervisor to lead a weekly after-school Singing / Glee Club at a primary school in Chelmsford, Essex. This role gives children the opportunity to develop their vocal skills, confidence, and enjoyment of music in a fun and supportive environment.
The club runs Mondays, 3:15pm – 4:15pm (1 hour per week) during term time. Starting in September.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise small groups of primary-aged children in singing and vocal activities.
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate sessions that develop pitch, rhythm, and performance confidence.
- Encourage creativity, self-expression, and enjoyment through singing and group performances.
- Support children in building confidence and teamwork through collaborative activities.
- Communicate effectively with school staff and, where appropriate, parents regarding children’s participation and progress.
- Ensure the activity space and any equipment are safe, organised, and ready for each session.
Experience & Skills
- Experience teaching singing or leading music-based activities for children in schools, clubs, or similar settings.
- Ability to inspire and engage young learners in a structured yet enjoyable environment.
- Strong English communication skills for working effectively with children, staff, and parents.
- A background in music, vocal coaching, or performing arts is desirable.
Pay: £30.00 per hour
