MDSA
Contract: Fixed Term (31.07.2028), 10 hours per week, 37 weeks per year.
Salary: USP Grade 2, SP 3 (FTE: £24,795/Actual: £5,474 per annum)
Start Date: 01.09.2026
We are seeking a caring, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our team of Midday Supervisory Assistants (MDSAs) on a fixed-term basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in supporting our pupils during the lunchtime period and contributing to their wellbeing and enjoyment of the school day.
The role involves supervising children both in the dining hall and in outdoor areas throughout lunchtime. You will help to create a safe, positive and inclusive environment where all children feel supported. In the dining room, you will encourage good table manners, promote healthy eating habits and support younger children where needed. Outside, you will engage children in a range of play activities, helping to ensure that lunchtime is an enjoyable and active part of their day.
MDSAs are assigned to specific year groups, allowing you to develop strong, positive relationships with the children and gain a good understanding of their individual needs. You will act as a positive role model, promoting kindness, respect and cooperation, and helping to manage behaviour in line with the school’s policies.
We are committed to supporting our staff and will provide appropriate training, including First Aid, along with ongoing guidance from members of the Senior Leadership Team. While you will be part of our wider support staff team, the role also requires the ability to work independently, use your initiative and respond flexibly to the needs of the children and the school.
Closing Date: 09:00am, 26.06.2026.
Interviews: TBC
Please note: We may interview as applications are received and may appoint before the closing date. Applications must be submitted online via our careers website before the deadline, so we encourage early applications and advise checking the job details on our site.
