You’ll be:
- Supporting our lively, fun holiday play sessions
- Helping create a warm, inclusive environment for families
- Working alongside Jig‑So’s friendly, passionate team
Essential Skills & Qualities
- Warm, friendly and approachable – able to help families and children feel welcome from the moment they arrive
- Good communication skills – confident speaking with parents, carers, children and colleagues
- Positive, hands‑on attitude – willing to get stuck in, support activities, and help wherever needed
- Reliable and punctual – able to support busy holiday sessions consistently
- Team player – works well alongside staff and volunteers in a fast‑paced environment
- Understanding of safeguarding and the importance of maintaining safe, inclusive spaces
- Ability to follow instructions and support the smooth running of sessions
- Respectful and non‑judgemental approach when working with families from diverse backgrounds
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience working with children, families, or community groups
- Knowledge of playwork, early years, or child development
- Experience supporting events, activities, or group sessions
- Basic understanding of health & safety in a play or community setting
- Welsh language skills (any level)
- First Aid, Food Hygiene, or other relevant certificates (not essential – training can be provided)
As part of our safer recruitment process, we require two references and an Enhanced DBS check, which Jig‑So will pay for. All roles are offered subject to completed checks.
