Skills & qualifications required to succeed in this role:
- Minimum of 5 years' experiences within ocean freight imports or freight forwarding role.
- Experience in handling both FCL and LCL shipments.
- Must have current experience with obtaining shipping line releases and booking both carrier and 3rd party haulage.
- Good understanding of UK customs procedures, previous experience on Customs entries is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating job files in our in-house system Multifreight.
- Arrange Customs clearance.
- Complete any port health declaration as required.
- Obtain releases from shipping lines.
- Book deliveries with customers, based on customer requirements.
- Book deliveries with company approved hauliers.
- Rate bookings for both costs and sales, including raising final invoice to customer.
- Monitoring shipments from start to finish and updating systems with milestone information.
- Must have experience with port systems Destin8 and CNS.
