Private Client Solicitor

I am currently working with a well-regarded regional law firm to recruit an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join their growing team.
This is a great opportunity for a qualified solicitor with at least 3 years’ PQE who is confident handling a varied private client caseload and is looking to join a supportive, client-focused environment with strong long-term career prospects.
The Role
You will join an established Private Client team advising individuals and families on wills, probate, estate planning and trusts. The role involves significant client contact and the opportunity to build long-term trusted relationships.
You will work independently on your own caseload while contributing to the wider success and growth of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting wills and lasting powers of attorney (LPAs)
- Advising on inheritance tax and estate planning
- Managing estate administration and probate matters
- Handling trusts and advising trustees
- Supporting elderly and vulnerable clients
- Managing a varied private client caseload from instruction through to completion
- Building strong, long-term client relationships
- Providing clear, practical and empathetic legal advice
About You
- Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE in Private Client law
- Strong technical knowledge of wills, probate, estates and trusts
- Confident managing a varied caseload independently
- Excellent client care and communication skills, particularly in sensitive matters
- Strong attention to detail and drafting ability
- Highly organised with strong time management skills
- Commercially aware and solution-focused
- STEP qualification (or working towards it) desirable but not essential
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
