Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role involves managing guest enquiries, handling reservations, and maintaining a high standard of hospitality throughout their stay. The ideal applicant will possess excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanour, and a strong understanding of guest services.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with the check-in/check-out procedures.
- Manage reservations efficiently using the hotel management system.
- Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy.
- Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services to enhance guest experience.
- Process payments accurately and maintain detailed records of transactions.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared to high standards.
- Address guest concerns promptly and escalate issues when necessary to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain the reception area in a tidy and organised manner at all times.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, correspondence, and reporting as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel reception or customer service roles is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of hospitality standards and guest service excellence.
- Friendly, approachable demeanour with a professional attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays if required.
- Proficiency in hotel management software or reservation systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
