Overview
We are looking for a senior chef to join our team. This is a great chance for someone with experince looking move onto their next challange or to build their reputation with awards or gaining rosettes. We are open for Lunch & Dinners (No breakfast shifts). Helping with seasonal menus and using our Bertha Charcoal oven to cook on fire. A KPI bonus structure along with weekly & monthly tips.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the kitchen team, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation
- Oversee food production, including planning menus, preparing ingredients, and cooking dishes to meet quality specifications
- Manage team members by providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative and motivated work environment
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across all kitchen areas
- Assist in developing new recipes and menu items to keep offerings innovative and appealing
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste through effective stock management
- Serve as a role model in delivering excellent customer service by maintaining professionalism and attention to detail during service periods
- Collaborate with management on operational improvements and staff scheduling to optimise productivity
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation
- Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively, providing leadership and motivation in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential
- Experience in menu development, food production management, and maintaining high standards of quality is highly desirable
- Previous restaurant experience with serving customers directly is advantageous
- A background in hospitality combined with excellent organisational skills will support success in this role
Pay: £27,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
