Senior Veterinary Surgeon – Chippenham, Wiltshire

An RCVS-accredited practice in North Wiltshire is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Senior Veterinary Surgeon to play a key leadership role and act as a vital support to the Clinical Director. The practice operates a Tier 3 hospital in Chippenham alongside branches in Calne, Corsham and Melksham, and is proud of its exceptional facilities, highly skilled team and commitment to the very highest levels of care.
Located close to the M4 and just a short walk from the train station, the practice is ideally placed for easy commuting. Bristol, Bath, Cardiff and London (one hour by train) are all within easy reach, as is the Cotswolds.
The Role
- Salary up to £75,000
- Full-time, 38-hour week
- 4 days Monday to Friday plus an average of 2 hours per week for the weekend rota
- Work closely with the Clinical Director, gaining strategic insight and hands-on leadership experience

Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional clinical care with significant depth and breadth of knowledge across general or referral practice
- Provide professional support to the Clinical Director and deputise when required
- Model and promote excellent clinical leadership behaviours across the team
- Manage your own time and workload effectively
- Handle client complaints at first instance with professionalism and empathy
- Develop and grow the skills and decision-making of colleagues
- Help guide contextualised care across a large, skilled team
