Are you passionate about safety and delivering a great customer experience? We are looking to recruit a professional Site Security Officer to play a vital role within the Edinburgh portfolio, based at St Andrew Square, Edinburgh.
As this is a high-profile site, you will work closely with ISS teams, local management, and the client to deliver a professional and effective security service. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt within a professional environment.
This role operates Monday to Friday on a rotating shift pattern of 06:00–16:00, 09:00–18:00, or 10:00–19:00. A degree of flexibility is required to meet operational needs.
The Role
- Reporting incidents and occurrences to Security Management
- Carrying out patrols when required and in line with Assignment Instructions (AIs)
- Responding to client requirements and working collaboratively with clients and service partners
- Following all reasonable management instructions and supporting operational requirements
- Managing access control processes in line with site procedures
- Monitoring CCTV systems within a control room environment
- Maintaining a visible and professional security presence across the site
- Supporting the delivery of a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors, and clients
About You
- Valid SIA Licence
- Ability to successfully undergo BS7858 screening
- Competent in report writing and incident management procedures
- Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications
- Proactive, adaptable, and forward-thinking approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A team player with good customer service skills
- New recruits will be encouraged to enrol onto the relevant apprenticeship as part of their training and development
