- Engage in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation for clients.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any observations during shifts.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a trusting relationship.
Skills
- Strong background in patient care, with experience in senior care or hospice care preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care principles and practices is highly advantageous.
- Ability to perform medication administration safely and effectively.
- Experience in home care settings or nursing homes is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and their families.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
