Summary
'We are seeking an individual who's passionate about loose leaf tea and preferrably has barista experience but not essential, to join our team.
As a Tea Master, you will be instrumental in elevating our tea offerings and enhancing the customer experience. This role is vital in helping us share our love for quality beverages with the local community.
Responsibilities
Tea Preparation & Craft
- Prepare and serve high-quality loose-leaf teas to Brixton Blend standards
- Execute both casual service (cup/pot) and guided tea experiences
- Understand and apply appropriate brewing parameters (temperature, time, multiple infusions)
- Maintain consistency in flavour, presentation, and timing
Tea Experience & Presentation
- Deliver a thoughtful and engaging tea experience for customers
- Introduce teas through simple storytelling (origin, flavour, character)
- Lead or support tea tastings, flights, and small group sessions
- Contribute to the atmosphere of the tea lounge, aligned with music and space
Customer Engagement
- Guide customers through the tea menu with confidence and clarity
- Recommend teas based on preferences (flavour, caffeine level, mood)
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for both new and experienced tea drinkers
- Build relationships with regular customers and the local community
Tea Innovation & Menu Development
- Support the development of tea-based drinks and tea-inspired cocktails
- Contribute ideas for seasonal menus, tea flights, and pairings
- Collaborate with the wider team on new concepts and experiences
Operations & Standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the tea bar and service area
- Ensure proper storage and handling of tea to preserve quality
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory
- Uphold Brixton Blend’s service standards across both tea and overall customer experience
Team & Culture
- Work closely with baristas and the wider team to deliver a seamless service
- Contribute to a positive, supportive team environment
- Embody Brixton Blend’s values of quality, community, and continuous improvement

Pay: £13.85-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
