Senior Client Relationship Manager
5 days per week (35 hours per week)
Based at: Home with occasional days in our Newbury Office

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a commercially minded Senior Client Relationship Manager to strengthen existing client relationships, generate new business opportunities and help organisations find the right training and coaching solutions for their people.
The Role
This is a relationship-led commercial role that combines account management, business development and consultative sales.
You will manage a portfolio of existing clients, developing trusted partnerships and identifying opportunities to expand our work within their organisations. You will also handle inbound enquiries and proactively generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking and referrals.
This role would suit someone who enjoys building long-term client relationships while maintaining a strong commercial focus. You'll need to have a passion for generating new opportunities and helping organisations develop their people.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Client Growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of existing clients.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts through additional programmes, coaching and development solutions.
- Conduct regular client reviews to understand evolving business needs.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
Business Development & Sales
- Manage and convert inbound enquiries into new business opportunities.
- Proactively identify and engage prospective clients through outbound activity.
- Generate and qualify new opportunities through networking, exhibitions, referrals, tenders and targeted outreach across the private, public and voluntary sectors.
- Lead consultative sales conversations to understand organisational challenges, training requirements and desired outcomes.
- Prepare proposals and tenders, liaising with trainers where appropriate.
- Manage opportunities through the sales pipeline to successful close.
Strategic Contribution
- Work closely with trainers and coaches to ensure successful client delivery.
- Contribute to sales strategy, market insights and business growth initiatives.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
- Represent KSL Training at client meetings, networking events, exhibitions and industry conferences.
About You
You will be an experienced relationship manager and sales professional who enjoys developing trusted partnerships and creating long-term value for clients.
Essential Experience
- Experience growing existing accounts and generating repeat business.
- Track record of achieving sales and revenue targets.
- Strong experience and proven success in managing both inbound and outbound sales activity.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to build credibility with senior leaders and decision-makers.
- Highly organised with strong pipeline and CRM management skills.
Desirable Experience
- Experience within leadership development, learning and development, coaching, training, HR or professional services.
- Understanding of organisational development and leadership challenges.
- Experience selling solutions rather than products.
