We’re looking for a Homelessness Service Manager to oversee the day-to-day delivery of our West Kent homelessness service. This service provides intensive, trauma-informed support to those who are sleeping rough or have experienced homelessness and require additional support to sustain accommodation and rebuild their independence.
This is a hands-on, operational role, managing a team of frontline staff who provide practical, trauma-informed support. You’ll work closely with the Area Manager to make sure the service is safe, effective, high quality, and responsive to the needs and experiences of the people we support. You will be responsible for managing and supporting your team to deliver practical and emotional support needed to overcome the trauma of sleeping on the streets, providing housing-related support across both Porchlight and other accommodation in the Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells areas.
Porchlight is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk.
Working pattern: 37.5 hours, 9.00am to 5.00pm, Mondays to Fridays with some flexibility required.
Location type: On-site
Contract type: Fixed term until 31st March 2027.
Interview date: 23rd July 2026.
The contract for this role runs until 31st March 2027. We hope to extend the contract if new funding is obtained, but this isn't guaranteed at the time of writing this job advert.
Our application form and interview process have been designed to assess your transferable skills rather than direct experience. This helps remove barriers for people who may have the right values, abilities, and potential but may not have formal experience in the role they’re applying for. We actively encourage people from all backgrounds to apply. Please have a look at the application guidance and job description at the bottom of the page to give you the best chance of being shortlisted.
