Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Site Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in joinery and carpentry, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. As a Joiner, you will be responsible for installing our wooden structures and fixtures while ensuring high standards of quality and safety. You will also be doing generic joinery repair work.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and fit wooden structures, including doors, windows, and furniture.
- Perform joinery tasks such as cutting, shaping, and finishing wood.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Carry out heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and completed works.
- Install fixtures and fittings accurately, ensuring they are plumb and level.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
- Proficiency in joinery techniques and practices.
- Experience in carpentry with a strong understanding of woodworking principles.
- Ability to use hand tools (saws, chisels, drills) and power tools (routers, sanders) effectively.
- Knowledge of painting techniques for finishing wood surfaces is advantageous.
- Familiarity with electrical work related to installations is a plus.
- Capability to perform masonry tasks when required.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to fabricate solutions on-site.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
