Support Worker Wanted – Make a Real Difference
We are looking for a kind, patient and reliable Support Worker to support our wonderful 10‑year‑old son, who has Autism, ADHD and limited verbal communication.
This is a rewarding role supporting him to enjoy age‑appropriate social and leisure activities in the local community. He loves getting out and about and benefits greatly from one‑to‑one support from someone calm, understanding and reassuring.
He has no danger awareness, so close supervision is needed at all times. When he becomes overwhelmed, he may find it difficult to regulate his behaviour, so we are seeking someone who can remain unflustered, offer reassurance, and help him feel safe and supported.
Experience working with children who have limited or non‑verbal communication would be ideal, but a caring attitude and a willingness to learn are just as important.
Personal care is required (details will be discussed sensitively at interview).
