The Role:
We are looking for a motivated, hands-on supervisor to support the day-to-day running of our busy store. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with retail supervisory experience and a passion for customer service, DIY, building materials or tools and hardware.
As a supervisor, you will help to lead by example, maintain high standards and ensure that our customers receive first class service and product advice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the management team in the daily operation of the business
- Supervise, motivate and develop store colleagues
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all of our customers
- Assist customers with product selection and provide practical advice where appropriate
- Ensure shelves and displays are well-stocked, organised and well presented
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering, stock control and deliveries
- Handle customer queries and resolve issues in a professional manner
- Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with opening and closing the store if required
About You:
- Previous supervisory experience in retail, DIY, builders merchants or similar environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, approachable manner
- Good knowledge of DIY, hardware, tools, building materials etc. or a willingness to develop that product expertise
- Basic IT and stock management skills
- Reliable, organised and able to lead by example
