We are a local family based Transport Company based in Hartlepool. We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our team. As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations. This is a great opportunity for someone with commercial driving experience who enjoys being on the road and delivering goods. The position is for Day Driver delivering Foodstuffs to various stores across the North East. Immediate starts are available
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Load and unload cargo as needed
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform daily vehicle checks
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety and transportation
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- CPC card
- Experience with Fridge Trailers is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy objects and load/unload cargo
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
