Stores Operative
Burngreave Building Company is looking to add an experienced Stores Operative to our growing team following continued expansion and the opening of our new in-house stores and warehouse facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day running of the stores and warehouse
- Ordering and purchasing stock and materials
- Organising deliveries and collections for various sites/projects
- Monitoring stock levels and carrying out stock checks
- Keeping track of purchase costs and carrying out regular price checks
- Preparing materials and stock for collection and delivery
- Maintaining an organised and efficient warehouse/store environment
- Carrying out site deliveries when required
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in warehouse/stores operations
- Good knowledge of building materials
- Experience with inventory, logistics, stock checks, and purchasing
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with spreadsheets/Excel
- A clean driving licence
- Picker/packer and data entry experience beneficial
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Training can be provided for candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
Experience Preferred
- Minimum 2 years warehouse/stores experience
- Stock purchasing experience
- Experience using computers and spreadsheets
