Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Gaming Van Driver/Host to operate our mobile gaming unit at various locations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting the van, setting up gaming equipment, and engaging with participants to ensure an enjoyable experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine driving skills with customer interaction in a dynamic environment. The position requires a professional attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage the technical aspects of gaming equipment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the gaming van across designated routes and locations, adhering to all traffic regulations and safety standards.
- Set up and dismantle gaming equipment, ensuring all devices are functioning correctly before and after events.
- Engage with participants of all ages, providing excellent customer service and explaining game features as needed.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the van and gaming area throughout events.
- Conduct basic mechanical checks on gaming devices and report any technical issues promptly for resolution.
- Coordinate with event organisers to ensure timely arrival and setup at each venue.
Qualifications
- Enhanced DBS check required every 3 years as working with children
- Experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver (Long wheel base vans) with a valid driver’s licence.
- Interest in gaming and technology helpful but not essential training provided
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and participants.
